Packer Fans Basically Dress as Cheese | Fantasy Football Sleepers

Last night on Football Jabber Radio we had Adam, the football loving Brit that is taking in 35 NFL games around the country. It’s funny to hear an Englishman’s assessment of how Packer fans basically dress up as cheese. Poor guy didn’t know where he was, turns out he is in North Eastern Oregon heading to Vegas (there isn’t a football team in Vegas so whatever could he be up to?). NFL Recaps and Fantasy Football too!

Show Notes:

NFL Footballderdash/Week 17

Oh, what a long winding road it has been. We have laughed, we have cried, we have called each other names. Week 17 marks the end of Footballderdash for the 2007 season as well as regular posting at TINO Sports Page. We will be moving our opperations (read laptops sitting on a coffee table stealing someone’s wireless) to Football Jabber.

Let’s review…

LAST WEEK

TINO:0-3 (27-23 overall)

Kelloggs23: 2-1 (27-23 overall)

The second 0-3 week of the season for the good guy. Looks as if we are tied going into week 17. I was going to throw a couple bones to Kelloggs this week but now I have to pick to win.

Rumor has it that the NFL was getting pressure from politicians about getting this game off just the NFL Network and out where everyone could see it. CBS and NBC will get to share the game with NFLN. Here is what happens…Patriots go up early and maybe, MAYBE, Bill will be nice and take some players out. If it’s anywhere close, starters stay in here. It isn’t the Giants fault that they just happened to be the last team to play the Patriots this season. It would be cute to see them try and win this but the playoffs are coming. And hell, then they can say they didn’t want to win anyway because they were already in…right? The Giants take starters out (after being beaten down already) and lay down like a big Brett Favre for Michael Strahan.

TINO: Patriots

Both say they won’t rest their starters, but if I were the Giants I would. True you can possibly stop the Pats pursuit of perfection, but do you really wanna piss off Bill and have him keep Brady in the 4th quarter to run it up on you? No, just sit your guys and get them healthy for the playoffs. The NFC is weak and any team could come out of it, so get your banged up guys ready to go and concentrate on that. But we all know good ‘ol Tommy isn’t gonna do that, he’ll run his guys into the ground.

Kelloggs23: Pick: New England Patriots

And the rest of the games…

T.O. to Jessica Simpson:Scram!

jessica-simpson.jpg

“Beat it kid…your bothering me!”

Apparently T.O. thinks that Jessica Simpson may be a distraction for Tony Romo, the Cowboys, and Texas Stadium.  I said…T.O. thinks someone is a distraction!  I should go easy on him, he hasn’t been bad this year.  I just found that ironic.

I understand.  I’m distracted looking at the picture above as I type this.  If I had not heard her speak and what comes out of her mouth hurting my brain I would be REALLY turned on.   As it is now I would likely have to register whenever I moved in most states if what I’m thinking got out.

Anyway, back to our tale of T.O.

“Right now, Jessica Simpson is not a fan favorite — in this locker room or in Texas Stadium,” Owens said Wednesday.

“With everything that has happened, obviously with the way Tony played and the comparison between her and Carrie Underwood, I think a lot of people feel she has taken his focus away,” Owens said, echoing the chatter on sports-talk radio and blogs. “Other than that, she was high on my list until last week.

“Oh, I got a message for her when we make the playoffs. Just stay tuned.”

NFL Jabber 12/16/07

https://i1.wp.com/www.tino-offseason.com/forum/myth/finsgif.gif Miamiherald.com is looking at free agency and the draft for the Fins today. Nice break from the grumpy old men that can’t wait to uncork the bottle when the Pats lose.

The Dolphins can clinch the #1 pick today with a loss. Think they can do it?

https://i1.wp.com/www.tino-offseason.com/forum/myth/cardsgif.gif Is Edge James Hall of Fame worthy? A little premature of a question but they are asking it in the papers in AZ. His career has been a little quiet since moving to the dessert but he is 13th on the rushing list. They debate it here

https://i2.wp.com/www.tino-offseason.com/forum/myth/titansgif.gif Mike Maylock of the NFL Network said he wouldn’t draft Vince Young coming out of college because you would have to change your offense to fit him. Jeff Fisher and Norm Chow have been doing a decent job with compromise in their marriage to Young.

“I don’t know if there is another coach who would be able to bring him along like they have to this point, to be able to put their egos at the door, adjust to his strengths and not ask him to do more than he is able to do,” said ESPN’s Merril Hoge, who has been one of Young’s harshest critics. “I can’t think of a place where Vince would be better off. It just takes time.”

Speaking of Norm Chow…he met with the UCLA Bruins about taking the Head Coaching gig in KC last night.
