Packer Fans Basically Dress as Cheese | Fantasy Football Sleepers

Last night on Football Jabber Radio we had Adam, the football loving Brit that is taking in 35 NFL games around the country. It’s funny to hear an Englishman’s assessment of how Packer fans basically dress up as cheese. Poor guy didn’t know where he was, turns out he is in North Eastern Oregon heading to Vegas (there isn’t a football team in Vegas so whatever could he be up to?). NFL Recaps and Fantasy Football too!

Show Notes:

3:00-We get Mike in the house and rolling. Discussion of some of the big games from last week including the Broncos/Chargers fiasco, the Vikings disappointment against the Colts, and more…

12:19-We get a call from Reg at CowboysPride.net discussing the Cowboys and Eagles Monday Night Football shootout.

28:00- Adam from Adamsfootballtrip.com joins us to discuss his dream trip around the United States taking in 35 games in a season. Good stuff. Tales from the road so far and plans ahead.

42:00- Fantasy Football time! Smashmouth is in front of the 30+ owner Cowboys Pride/ Football Jabber Challenge. Take a look at some possible sleeper/waiver wire picks.

Go to http://www.blogtalkradio.com/footballjabber to check it out!

Saturday night at 8pm Central we dive further into the fantasy football, injuries, and some NFL game picks.

Send Sean Taylor to Pro Bowl/Retire#21

I was just stumbling around one of our affiliate forums, Cowboys Pride, and came across THIS THREAD. In the thread they are discussing a movement for fans to vote for Sean Taylor to send him to the Pro Bowl and get the Skins to retire his number.

Bucs99 NLS Mod:Something I seen at a forum that I post on, they are voting like crazy to try and “send” Sean to the Pro Bowl. It may sound lame to some but it is a way to show that he was a well respected player in the NFL. I have voted countless times for him already, besides it wont take away from the next guy, they will just go in his place. Believe it or not I’m truly sorry this happened to him. Below are links to the Pro Bowl ballot. Please take a few minutes and vote

Why not? TINO Sports Page can back this. There isn’t much more I can say for reasoning that isn’t said above.

There is an online petition for the Skins to retire Taylor’s #21, FOUND HERE.

To: Washington Redskins Organization We ask that the Washington Redskins please hold a ceremony sometime this season or next season to retire the #21 in memory of the late Sean Taylor. Sean was only in his forth year but was already garnered as one of the top safeties in all of football. God only knows the numbers he could have put up if his career wasn’t cut so short. Numbers aside though, Sean was truly a remarkable individual who loved the game and fans with a passion that will never be matched. Seeing someone else in the #21 would just be a great injustice to the Redskins family.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

CAN YOU DIGG IT?!? It will help get the word out!——>

Pimp Post:Cowboys Pride

Cowboys Pride was one of the first affiliates for There is NO Offseason and TINO Sports Page. Reg joins us from a hospital bed. (Sidenote, Reg had to have someone else get me the MySpace links because it’s not allowed on their IP…now that is a sterile environment!)

TINO: Thanks for everything you have done for us.

Reg: You’re most welcome and just as many thanks in return. Our affiliate relationship with TINO has been great and really epitomizes a mutually-beneficial working relationship.

Tell us a little about Cowboys Pride and what you have to offer. How long have you been on the internets? What makes you stand out from other fan sites?

Reg: CP was founded in March of this year. Our growth, maturity, & credibility factor has been nothing short of phenomenal. CP is the brain-child of Deb (owner/admin), Maduin (admin), and I (co-owner/admin). Our uniqueness among other fan sites is based on several factors: 1) A heavy focus on the Cowboys but offering info, experiences, & sincere hospitality to all fans, 2) Our members rule! Everything we do is for our members, 3) an incredible staff, comprising talented but humble dedicated contributors…including an in-house cadre of writers who rival any set on the net for quality & interesting articulation, 4) We attract the greatest members anywhere. They’re fun, cooperative, and crazy about their Cowboys (and other sports teams), and 5) we’re led by THE most dynamic, energetic, people-oriented, out-of-the-box strategist/implementer on the net…DEB!

Come get your 1st Half Report Cards!

You have to love the NFL. You really just don’t know from one season to the next…or sometimes from one week to the next…who teams are going to stack up once they get on the field. What we have done here at TINO this week is compiled report cards for certain categories determined on how they rank in the league by some stat categories. Doing this reminded me of being a first grader in Azusa, California walking home from school. The kid I was walking with was all stressed out about what his Mom would do when she seen his report card. My mind worked quickly to come to the solution of hiding it under a car tire where she would never find it. Mom frowned on it, I denied being involved.St. Louis Rams and Miami Dolphins, go out to the parking lot and pick a car.

Here are some links that break them down by division. Check them out, at least stop by to say hey to the ladies in each post.

NFC East 1st Half Report Card

We are a 1/2 way through the season and many teams have not performed
as planned. We have decided that report cards should be sent out. Some
fans will be happy to see how their teams stack up. Some would like to
use the genius plan I gave a kid walking home with me in the first
grade…hide it underneath a car tire where your Mom will never find it.
Grades are determined by where they rank in the league in each
category. Feel free to praise or scold teams in the comment section
below. Check out the other divisions as well.

Offense

Points Per Game:

First Half=A
First Quarter=A

Passing Yards:

First Half=A
First Quarter=A

Rushing Yards:

First Half=B
First Quarter=B+

Defense
Points Allowed:

First Half=C
First Quarter= B-

Yards Per Game:

First Half=B
First Quarter=C

Comments: The Cowboys were the kid that were really good playing on the playground with their friends (NFC) but were not so good when suiting up for the school team (vs. Pats). They are still toward the top of the class in most areas.
The rest of the teams…
